As per the title I’m thinking of getting into stock photography. I don’t see what the big deal about it is :)
A shot a took a while back and posted to Facebook. I don’t know why but the title and the photo gives me laugh every time I see it or think about it.
As per the title … managed to get the tree up today.
It’s part of the Lego Advent Calendar I bought. I won’t be around every day this month though so we opened up one or two extra days I’ll be away. This was one of the items and it does make me rather happy.
The first item in the Advent calendar was …
Truth be told I don’t recall ever having an advent calendar apart from a chocolate one which doesn’t really count does it? Happy December everyone
If you know me this lego picture I took would probably make a lot of sense.
- I’m fueled by caffeine.
- I have a baby.
- I work for Blacknight. (Their logo is a horse …)
- I have a cat, there are many cats in existence but this one is mine. I shall call him Squishy.
- I drink beer.
- I always feel tired these days which is probably related to the previous 5 points!
Warning nerdish humour .. ( having one of those days / weeks / months / I don’t know whats )
Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He doesn’t
seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. The other guy takes out
his phone and calls the emergency services.
He gasps: “My friend is dead! What can I do?” The operator says: “Calm
down, I can help. First, let’s make sure he’s dead.” There is a silence,
then a gunshot is heard. Back on the phone, the guy says: “OK, now
So this has now become my most popular picture on Flickr in terms of views at any rate. Crikey way to make me feel good about my photography skills people :P
Bit of a brain wave this morning. Yesterday I saw mention that one London police man was blaming the violence on video games and of course we all know that video games cause people to … be more violent / rob / murder and those things never existed before video games.
Well this game has been around a while now and I reckon it’s behind all the problems with housing and the banks.
I always end up saying something like FREE GAMES in the title of these posts cus I think it possibly works. No idea if it does but if you want DRM free / cross platform (linux / windows / mac) games at a price you dictate then this is it.
You’re getting 5 Games for whatever price you want
Crayon Physics Deluxe
And Yet It Moves
Some of the money goes to charity as well and you decide how it’s spread out.
I’ve previously picked up World of Goo which is one of the most original games I’ve ever played with an amazing soundtrack to boot.
So head on over to the HumbleBundle and get some games :)
Playing around with some graphics tonight .. looking at some stock photos of lions making up the standard OS X style image of a Lions head against a star field and it suddenly struck me … The Chronicles of OS X Lion …
Found a very cool Map of the Narnian World
Grabbed a Star Map from Flickr under an Attribution license …
May play with it a bit more at some stage but happy enough for now .. a bit rough but kinda fun to do.
The original image / article that got me playing with the graphic is over on ArsTechnica OS X 10.7 Lion Review
So I ended up grabbing OSX Lion and performing an upgrade yesterday and everything went without a hitch. Nice picture of a lion and of course it got me thinking he’s just a big Cat no? And so the world famous model Squishy The Cat came to mind and hey presto I give you the possible 10.8 release of OSX.
Good grief I hear you say .. he’s everywhere where will he appear next? :)
